• The National Weather Service issues a severe
thunderstorm warning with a tornado watch.
• The National Weather Service issues a tornado warning.
• A tornado has been spotted and reported by public
safety officials.
• Additional weather warnings are issued.
• National security events occur.
• Hazardous material incidents occur that require evacuation or
other action.
If the National Weather Service has issued watches or warnings, they will be listed in the red box above.

Booth Road Bridge Replacement
Oglesby Road Bridge Replacement - May 19 to Dec. 16, 2008
Garrett Road
will be closed to thru traffic between Hiram Lithia Springs Road and CH James
Parkway beginning Monday, June 23rd, 2008 through Friday, December 19th, 2008. The actual point of closure is on Garrett Road approximately 1400 feet west of CH James Parkway
and approximately 3000 feet east of Hiram Lithia Springs Road. Closure is necessary due to reconstruction of the bridge over Powder Springs Creek.

Detour route from Garrett Road @ CH James Parkway will be CH James Parkway
south to right on Humphries Hill Road to right on Hiram Lithia Springs Road to Garrett Road. Detour route from Garrett Road @ Hiram Lithia Springs Road will be Hiram Lithia Springs Road
south to left on Humphries Hill Road to left on CH James Parkway to Garrett Road.

Booth Road will be closed to thru traffic between Powder Springs Street and
Sandtown Road beginning Monday, July 28th, 2008 through Sunday, October 26th, 2008.The actual point of closure is on Booth Road approximately 100 feet west of Booth Court and 100
feet east of Jill Lane where Booth Road crosses Olley Creek Tributary.Closure is necessary due to replacement of the bridge crossing Olley Creek Tributary.

Street north to right on Sandtown Road to Booth Road. Detour route from Booth Road @ Sandtown Road will be Sandtown Road north to left on Powder
Springs Street to Booth Road.

Oglesby Road will be closed to thru traffic between C.H. James Parkway and Frank Aiken Road/ Furr Avenue beginning Monday, May 19th, 2008 through Wednesday, November 19th, 2008. The actual point of closure is on Oglesby Road ½ mile east of C.H. James Parkway at the bridge crossing Powder Springs Creek. Closure is necessary due to bridge replacement over Powder Springs Creek.
Detour Route: From Oglesby Road @ Frank Aiken Road / Furr Avenue will be Furr Avenue east to left on Austell Powder Springs Road to left on Marietta Street to left on Brownsville Road to left on C.H. James Parkway to Oglesby Road. Detour from Oglesby Road @ C.H. James Parkway will be C.H. James Parkway north to right on Brownsville Road to right on Marietta Street to right on Austell Powder Springs Road to right on Furr Avenue to Oglesby Road.

and Smyrna Powder Springs Road beginning Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 through Sunday, Dec.
14, 2008. The actual point of closure is on Olive Springs Road Road approximately 700 feet south of
Barrett Circle and approximately 100 feet north of Stalcup Drive where Olive Springs Road
crosses Nickajack Creek Tributary. Closure is necessary due to replacement of the bridge over Nickajack Creek Tributary.
Detour route from Olive Springs Road @ Windy Hill Road will be Windy Hill Road
east to right on Benson Poole Road to right on Smyrna Powder Springs Road to Olive Springs
Road. Detour route from Olive Springs Road @ Smyrna Powder Springs Road will be Smyrna Powder Springs
